    Material should be written in the quote. Borosilicate and soda lime are different glass families, and the correct selection depends on the burner, temperature cycle, forming route and required appearance. A supplier should confirm the proposed material and use boundary rather than assuming that a familiar name guarantees performance.<\/p>\n

    For a flame-lit lamp, ordinary decorative glass is not a safe automatic substitute. The glass shape, wall section, edge condition and burner relationship all need review.
